Private Early Childhood Education and Service Voucher

Families can apply for a place in early childhood education from private providers if they wish. The operations of private early childhood education are regulated by the same laws, regulations, and directives as municipal early childhood education. Janakkala uses an income-related service voucher for private early childhood education. Service voucher customers pay the same fee for private early childhood education as for municipal early childhood education. A customer who has been granted a service voucher cannot receive home care allowance or private care support.

How to apply for a service voucher

  4. Make a written service agreement with the service provider
  5. Submit income information before the early childhood education relationship begins using the electronic income verification form
  6. The decision will be delivered electronically and can be read in eDaisy (suomi.fi service)

The municipality determines the value of the service voucher. The value of the service voucher is based on the child’s age, family size, and income. The family pays the co-payment directly to the service provider.

The family must report any changes related to early childhood education without delay. Changes in the co-payment amount will take effect from the beginning of the following month.
The notice period for terminating the service voucher is one calendar month. Changes are made through electronic services via eDaisy.
