The residential area of Mäyrä in Tervakoski expanded in 2017 with a new wooded area of detached and row houses. There are 32 house plots in the area. Mäyrä is a peaceful area bordered by small houses, connected to a recreational area close to nature. The distance from the Mäyrä area to the elementary school is approx. 0.5-1 km, and to the secondary school is about 1.5 km. The services of the center of Tervakoski are about 1.5 km away, where the new beautiful multifunctional hall, Delford Arena, is located, as well as the upcoming school center.

Illuminated trails and outdoor routes circle around Luulionvuori, while other outdoor sports services are concentrated near the Tervakoski school and swimming hall (about 500 m – 1 km), where there is a sports field, ice hockey and skating rinks, and a frisbee golf course. The nearest beach is located on the shores of Alasjärvi, about a kilometer away from the Mäyrä residential area.
