Mustakallio, Sokslammi, Pukalinkallio
Marttilantie, Vähikkäläntie, Tervakoski
The shadowy cliff of Mustakallio rising from the shore of Sokslampi is perhaps the most valuable cliff in Janakkala in terms of biodiversity. The area is home to mesotrophic, even eutrophic moss species such as the feather moss and the egg moss as well as the brown hair moss. The rocky area is part of the Natura network of protected areas. There are nice walking paths crisscrossing the extensive rocky area on the northern side of Mustakallio.
At the foot of the cliff, there is a municipal swimming and boating beach. Sokslampi is connected to Alasjärvi and further to Toivanjoki and Kesijärvi through a culvert under the road. The route can be traversed by boat.
Pukalinkallio is located in the same area opposite Puuhamaa. A marked local nature trail circles around Pukalinkallio. (Image below)
