Wellbeing Report

The Janakkala municipal council approved the extensive wellbeing report in its meeting on August 28, 2023. The wellbeing report describes wellbeing and health as well as their promotion in the municipality.

The municipality is responsible for creating the extensive wellbeing report once during the council term. In Janakkala, a group of officials from various sectors has worked on the wellbeing report under the guidance of the municipal management team.

The extensive wellbeing report is divided into two parts:

  1. the wellbeing report, which describes the current state of wellbeing
  2. the wellbeing plan, which outlines the goals and measures for improving wellbeing. The wellbeing plan extends until 2027.

Additionally, the work includes annual planning that clarifies goals and measures as part of the operational and financial budget. The wellbeing report work is reported annually to the council.

The wellbeing report and plan are part of the municipal strategy

The wellbeing report and plan are part of the municipality’s strategic management. They are tools that can be used to plan, monitor, evaluate, and report on the promotion of wellbeing and health in the municipality.

The extensive wellbeing report also describes other plans, programs, and reports related to wellbeing.

Goals of the Wellbeing Plan

The four goals of the wellbeing plan are participation, equality, wellbeing work and management, and vitality. A key goal of participation is also to involve the municipality and organizations in joint wellbeing work.
