Who?

The Janakkala Youth Workshop is intended for Janakkala residents aged up to 29. If you are outside education or the workforce, workshop activities may be for you. You don’t have to know exactly what you want to do — at the youth workshop, you can try out several different fields.

Where?

The Janakkala Youth Workshop uses the cinema Kino Tervakoski, located at the Tervakoski Community Center, as its base, where the youth workshop instructor’s office is also located. The address is Seuranaukio 3, 12400 Tervakoski.

What?

At the youth workshop, we promote young people’s employment and access to education. The workshop period may include diverse work at the cinema, exposure to the job market at external workplaces, and training sessions. During the period, individual guidance is provided, particularly in matters related to career choices.

The activities at the workshop are practical and take into account each individual’s personal goals and skills. At the workshop, young people learn to leverage their strengths. Through workshop activities, it becomes easier to try out their wings in school or the workforce.

At the beginning of the workshop period, a workshop plan is created together with the workshop instructor, documenting the young person’s personal goals. The goals may include, for example, learning everyday skills, guidance for applying for education, exploring different professions and hobbies, or job searching. The aim is to find a pathway during the period that leads to studying, entering the workforce, or engaging in activities suitable for other life situations. The workshop period also builds work experience, which is taken into account when applying for education.
